In Medio, graduates from the School for Girls marry into prominent families. One of those women is Daniela Vargas, the top student with fake papers about who she is. On her graduation night, her lies are discovered. She must choose the life her family fought for or forbidden love.
This book gets you hooked from the beginning! You can find suspense, fantasy, and romance throughout the story. You get to decide which side you want to be on – the resistance or the political side. Daniela struggles to make the choice herself and must discover who she is and who she wants to be. Even with the suspense, there is a lot of love (including some that are forbidden) to keep you turning the pages. It’s hard to put this book down when you want to know the details of this polarizing society and see which side Daniela chooses. Definitely pick this up if you’re looking for a story to keep you on your toes, but you can also curl up with and finish in one sitting.
