Craft: Paper Lilies

For this craft, you will need a glue stick, pink and green paper, and scissors.

Step One:

Cut out the stencil for your petals, you will want to cut up into the petal and leave little tabs on the end. I used a heavier cardstock for the stencil so that it would trace better onto the colored copy paper I was using. The stencil should be about six inches long by 2 1/2 inches across the widest part of the petal.

Step Two:

Once you have your stencil, trace it onto the pink paper. You will want to do this five times in order to have enough petals. Once the petal is cut out, put glue on the tab and cross the tabs over one another to make the paper bow. Next, fold the tabs a bit to make them flat, then glue the petals together on the tabs, it will make a shape similar to a bowl. Once all five petals are glued, the flower will stand up on its own.

Step Three:

Cut out the lily pad for your flower to sit on, this will be the same shape as your petals. I made mine 6 1/2 inches long by 4 inches wide (at the widest part) and then cut out the little indent on the side.

Step Four:

Glue the flower onto the pad, and you’re done!
